The goal of Taoist Tai Chi is to return the body and mind to its original pure and healthy state and is taught as a life nourishing, restorative and spiritual practice. Instead of being a competitive martial art, Taoist Tai Chi is taught and practiced in a spirit of compassion and service to others with the emphasis of being kind, generous and helpful. The underlying notion is that outward focus helps release one’s own stress and worries.
Taoist Tai Chi’s movements are altered to fit the unique abilities of the student versus the student learning a form and forcing him or herself to fit the form. The benefit of Taoist Tai Chi is that anyone can practice and each will improve at their own pace. This supports the philosophy that each movement is successful in improving an individual’s health. This is how anyone can find great value in practicing Taoist Tai Chi.

Professional Ballet Dancer
I found Li Fu through the Tai Chi in the park program here in Houston. I was looking for a type of movement meditation that would be centering and empowering and Tai Chi was always exactly what I needed when I would show up for class. As a professional ballet dancer I am a performer and athlete by trade and I had given so much energy externally that I had reached a point where I desperately needed a way to turn inward and move in ways that informed my well being rather than only the demands of the outside world. I finally spoke with LiFu and she told me about the internal martial arts three year program to deepen my learning and practice. I found so much more than I imagined through this program. My ability to balance my career as an athlete immediately increased. I have found that the learning in this program is increasing my capacity for self reflection and self compassion. It has provided me a more neutral and honest lens to view my life and work through. This expands into my interpretation of the people around me too. I believe that learning the three forms of internal martial arts provided in this program; Xing Yi, Ba Gua Zhang, and Tai Chi, has become fundamental to how I care for my health and well being. True transformation happens slowly and that is beautifully obvious during this three year training. Beginning my journey in internal martial arts has altered the trajectory of my life in significantly beneficial ways. I can’t wait to share and begin to pass on this learning to others as well.

“The Reunion of Heaven and Man sessions left me feeling more connected to the earth and all things. This feeling has lasted and is still with me. After the first session of the two-day Reconnection, I had an experience in which I felt super connected to the earth and all things around me, even the air. As I walked, I could feel the earth ripple with each step. As I moved my arm through the air, I could sense the air ripple in waves. I could see and feel the buildings in the distance shake as the airwaves reached them. I felt that I affected all things around me. After received the Empowerment, I had longer periods of being in deeper heart space than before. This brought me feelings of profound peace and love for others.
“After my Reunion of Heaven and Man sessions with Simone, I have a new calm, balance and peace within me. And for the first time I can remember, I am obtaining self-worth and purpose. This is huge, for until that day I carried a great deal of anger and self-loathing. Now I am noticing my interaction with people, especially strangers have changed. Before I came across as unapproachable; I had chosen a path of avoiding and blocking people. Now that wall is down and I interact with people without feeling
I’m weird, now I am approachable.
Healing is still happening and every week I continue to get better. The changes are subtle and would be hard to put into words, but are improving my quality of life. One idea is that my awareness of self and of the spiritual aspect of life is becoming more and more heightened. Past life pain is mending and the old records of my self-loathing are almost gone. When they do turn on it’s only for a moment. I’m able to catch them acknowledge them and let them go free. I never was able to feel and keep rhythm, and now I can.”
“I am very grateful for my experience at Blue Dragon Tai Chi. After experimenting with yoga for the past year, I decided to try a free lesson with Li Fu. I was pleasantly surprised by her ability to integrate the principles and philosophy of Yin and Yang into her Tai Chi practice. After a few lessons I found myself flowing with every breath. Tai Chi makes me feel energized, but not depleted. A short meditation after class leaves me feeling relaxed. Now I look forward to my weekly practice!”
“From the first meeting with Li Fu, it was very apparent to me that she was not an ordinary instructor.
After a few classes with her that were absolutely enjoyable and powerful, my schedule changed and due to the logistics, it was not possible for me to continue.
A few months went by and then the opportunity to train with her to certify to teach Tai Chi for Health and Longevity came up. The schedule was a good fit for me. The thought of being able to contribute to others to work on their health and longevity as well as mine was exciting and accepted her invitation.
Without a doubt Li Fu has had an enormous influence on my health and my passion to share Tai Chi for Health and Longevity with others.
Her knowledge and her passion to teach others in this art is very extensive, thorough and goes deep into the art as well into the science behind it. Anyone that has a serious interest in learning this art and to be able to teach it properly, should definitely think seriously into training with her. Highly recommend it to anyone that want to learn this art even if their only interest is to improve their own health. In my humble opinion she is Tops.”
